Alexander Mackay

Alex has 31 years of Tobacco Industry experience.  He started his career in 1991 in Zimbabwe and has extensive experience in operational management covering all sectors of the tobacco industry; merchant companies and cigarette manufacturing.  His career extends from Casalee Zimbabwe, Universal Zimbabwe, Universal Poland, Japan Tobacco International Germany and Universal Malawi.  In 2006 he constructed Premium Tama Tobacco Malawi.  Alex was appointed Managing Director of Premium Malawi, the Premium Group Asian operations, and Premium Leaf Zimbabwe.  Alex’s latest appointment was CEO-Tobacco Operations for the Premium Group, operating out of Dubai, a position he left recently, in order to join Atlas Agri (Pvt) Ltd in Zimbabwe as Managing Director.
